As Party to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety Denmark is obliged
to participate in capacity-building in biosafety and
biotechnology. An element of the capacity building provisions of
the Protocol is that each Party nominates experts to an expert
forum called "Roster of Experts".
The Danish Government has nominated 9 experts to the
"Roster of Experts".

More about "Roster of Experts"
The mandate of the roster is to provide advice and other
support, as appropriate and upon request, to developing country
Parties and Parties with economies in transition, to conduct risk
assessment, make informed decisions, develop national human
resources and promote institutional strengthening, associated with
the transboundary movements of living modified organisms. Parties
can request the assistance from an expert through the Secretariat
of the Cartagena Protocol in Montreal who administrates the
roster.
The experts will not be paid but the Intergovernmental
Committee for the Cartagena Protocol (ICCP) has welcomed a
decision to establish a pilot-phase of a voluntary trust fund for
the roster of experts. It is foreseen that the first meeting of
the Parties to the Protocol will take final decision on the
establishment of the Voluntary Fund for the Operation of the
Roster of Experts on Biosafety.
